Let’s goooo, Tigers!! Our team’s strong season last year left many in the Princeton community asking: “How can we possibly top that? A surprising turnaround and victory over Harvard? A bonfire?” Well top that, we did, with a second bonfire in as many years and a share in the illustrious Ivy League Title. And the Band was there for it all, through thick and thin, through rain and sleet and gloom of night! Here are some highlights from 2013:
-A trip to our nation’s capital: gallivanting around the national monuments, lobstering on the President’s lawn (okay, across the street in President’s Park), and cheering the team to a crushing victory over Georgetown.
-Traveling all the way to the tiny state of Rhode Island for the game against Brown and hanging out with the always awesome Brown Band.
-A 51-48 victory over Harvard after going into overtime—yet another photo finish over the Crimson, this time on their own turf!
-Cornell: a fountain gig well-earned!
-It’s almost 2014 and the Quaker is still a dork! Princeton beats Penn 38-26, and more importantly, no hat casualties are reported.
-A runaway victory over Yale at this year’s homecoming game secures the second Bonfire in a row (and a refreshing November dip in the Woody Woo fountain)
-After a six-hour drive to the frigid North, the Band endures a snowstorm in the name of Princeton spirit and celebrates the end of a fantastic season for Princeton football.
You worked (and played) hard, Tigers! Congratulations to the Band for another undefeated season, and may the next year be equally successful! See you all back in the stands in 2014!
